This collection consists of a biographical sketch of Mrs. Colburn by Agnes Manney Tenney and Marian Sutherland Miller entitled "A typcial western woman-- yet different," reprinted in pamphlet form from "Overland monthly" Feb. 1926 and a typescript carbon of the play Yermah the Dornado: a play in four acts by Mrs. Colburn and Marah Ellis Ryan.

Journalist. The first newspaper woman on the San Francisco Examiner. She also worked for the San Francisco Call and the Chronicle. She was an author, lecturer, and conducted a radio broadcast. She was the model for Jack London's heroine in his first novel, "A Daughter of the Snows." She established the San Francisco Book Fair.
